• Yes. It connects via bluetooth. I connected it to the Amazon dot and it works fine. The speaker does need to be on and in bluetooth mode. I haven't figured out how to have Alexa turn on the speaker and the bluetooth.

• Not sure about that one. I hooked mine up to a Samsung MU8000 TV. I know it has the capabilities of Bluetooth for the rear surround that's all I know. Hope this helps.
