• yes it has a remote but it is such a cheaply built unit that we could not get the door open. There also is not way to figure out if it is on or not ARRGGGG&^%$^^%$$

• Yes it does , but make sure you do not buy the open box one because I received the wrong remote and it was a huge pain.
