The cable included with the Samsung 45W charger is typically rated for USB 2.0 transfer speeds of 480 Mbps. Here are the details: Transfer Speed of the Included Cable The included USB-C to USB-C cable is primarily designed for power delivery rather than high-speed data transfer. Rated Speed: 480 Mbps (USB 2.0 standard). This is sufficient for basic tasks like transferring files to/from devices but not ideal for large file transfers or high-speed data operations. Why It's USB 2.0? The cable prioritizes compatibility with charging protocols like USB Power Delivery (PD) and PPS (Programmable Power Supply) to support up to 45W charging. High-speed data transfer (e.g., USB 3.0 or 3.1 speeds like 5 Gbps or 10 Gbps) would require additional shielding and internal wiring, making the cable bulkier and more expensive. What If You Need Higher Transfer Speeds? For faster data transfer: Use a USB 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 cable for 10 Gbps speeds. Use a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable for 40 Gbps speeds (if supported by your device). Ensure the cable is marked as "USB 3.0/3.1/3.2" or "SuperSpeed" and check the specifications for the transfer rate. Summary The included cable supports 480 Mbps (USB 2.0) transfer speeds. If you require 5 Gbps or higher speeds, consider purchasing a separate USB-C cable designed for faster data transfer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a thicker cable than on the 25W charger. I somtimes use another thinner cable and get good speed. I would guess that the cable is cabable of 10GB. However, in practice, your speed will be limited by the devices you are transferring from and to. For example, an SD card that reads at a maximum 90MB/s will limit your speed to maybe 70MB/s.
