• Yes, if you set up a daily back up procedure and use a program like Samsung's Magician Software 8.1. I have my SSD hooked up to my laptop computer all the time. It is easily disconnected if I shut down my laptop and go on a trip and then shows up immediately upon connecting the USB cable
