• It doesn't "care" what data you put on it. It comes formatted as exFAT with three files stored on it: Samsung Portable SSD SW for Android.txt SamsungPortableSSD_Setup_Mac_1.0.pkg SamsungPortableSSD_Setup_Win_1.0.exe Feel free to reformat it to whatever file system is ideal for your intended application.

• One or the other. MacBook backups require Mac formatting for Time Machine backups. They won’t work otherwise. Once you format the drive for a Mac, I don’t believe any of the Sony PS X devices will recognize it- I believe they use FAT.

• Only internal NVMe drives can be used to play PS5 games. Anything external will only back up the games for later transfer to internal drives.
