Possibly, the issue would then be that you would have to manually set it every time you switch it on, and these 3 settings could take up to 15 minutes every time.

It can be oriented in any way, but just like the photos show, the base is a simple metal circle with no securing features. It can rest on any surface. But if you want to mount it to something, you may have to get creative.

It can adapt so it doesn’t have to be straight. They also sell an adaptor for lightbulbs. I can’t attest for the quality of the adapter.
