Yes, it will output 4k just not HDR. In all honesty without HDR it is not worth the purchase yet. You can't really see the 4K difference if your more than 6 ft away. The true upgrade is the HDR. It is a nice player but Blue rays look just as good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work with any 4K TV regardless of HDR compatibility. I am using it with an LG 65ef9500. You just need to disable the HDMI Anytime CEC which is a control feature to Samsung TVs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, 4K refers to the resolution whereas HDR refers to color range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does. Only difference between eg and hdr ef is hdr. Bluray detect if hdr and my 55ef flickers the words on top right cornet, hdr off then on when it starts playing. Eg would just not display hdr on, even though it can do hdr with streaming with update in future i think like amazon.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From my understanding so long as your TV is HDMI 2.0 and HDCH 2.2 and 4k it should display a 4k picture
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work just won't have HDR
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The eg only does HDR though the apps. You need the ef flat model to do HDR though hdmi
