• Yes, when you turn the Clip Jam off while playing a mp3, when you turn it back on it will start playing from the place you stopped it.

• If you use the audiobook folder yes, it will save your spot. If you use the plan folder option to listen, then no it will not. Also, if you add music to the device or hard reset it, it may reset the book if the file gets moved around in the device.
