There is a 3.5mm headphone jack in the device that you can also use to plug into an external speaker via aux cable (which you need to buy separately for only the headphone comes with the device). Hope this answers your question. I have it plugged to a bluetooth speaker using the aux cable (not very fond of headphones) that has an aux input jack.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a Bluetooth compatible version made by SanDisk, this version requires that you plug a 3.5mm connector. If you have a bluetooth headphone that does not have a 3.5mm cable adapter then you cannot use it with this player.
