A:AnswerNo, this unit is not waterproof- There is an open micro sd card slot on the side of the unit. I use mine at the gym, and if I put it in my pocket while working out I will get condensation and some sweat on it- I have not had any issues with it, but I would NOT get it submersed in any liquid.

A:AnswerYes you can. It's on the side and easily goes up and down. There is no pause button so if you stop to chat you can either turn the sound down, shut it off or unplug.
I don't recommend unplugging a lot because the connection can loosen although I still do that on occasion. I dropped my first one quite a bit and never had any problems, fortunately, but I will still be careful because it's small and could break. You do have to "reset" these at times. I thought mine was broken and threw it away and when I got the second one I read that if it stops, which can happen, you just have to hold the button down to "reset". Not a big problem
