It may be as simple as a stocking demand as popularity may rise. The manufacturers see an increase in sales and a decrease in resources to produce the card and capitalism in this great country follows its natural flow. A more obscure explanation could be a misinterpretation in the product that you originally purchased in contrast to the product that you are speculating about. Suggested MSRP and the prices that a company chooses to sell at can also be affected by supply or many other variables from a mundane order to more intricate systems at play I/E promotional sales to be a likely culprit. Shop smart people!

There is a temporary price drop to clear overstock or promote a product. I also bought this card when it was 'On Sale'. I typically will look for these promotions before making a purchase. It saves a lot of money!
