“Can this be use with backup software and act as my external backup drive?”

• I have this model and have not had any issues. This model is also not listed as part of the defective models, as I ran my serial number to confirm. I've owned it for over 2 years and has worked great.

• Yes. I'm actually using it as a backup for my Mac (using Time Machine) and have had no issues.

• Please allow us to inform you that all the SanDisk®️ portable SSDs are plug and play external storage devices. You can connect the drive to the computer and start transferring the data using drag and drop or copy/paste method. However, you can use file history in Windows and Time Machine in Mac for backup.

• It can until you get it about 1/2 full, at which point it fails and you lose everything.
