This is compatible with your camera, but you are better off by buying a 64GB SDXC card unless Linux is your computer's operating system because Linux cannot read exFAT which SDXC requires. The difference between this card and the Kingston one is that SanDisk makes its own flash with a joint venture between itself and Toshiba, while Kingston has to buy flash from someone else like Toshiba, Intel Micron Flash Technologies, Samsung, SK Hynix, or Winbond because Kingston can only package memory and has no facilities to make memory chips itself.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is compatible. Both are SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity). The Sandisk Extreme Pro writes at 45MB/sec while the Kingston card writes at 15MB/sec. With the Panasonic Lumix LX5, you probably don't need to spend the extra money on the SanDisk. However, I have found it to be faster using Canon 60D camera. When you look at memory cards, look at its write speeds, and ignore the "class 4" or "class 10" ratings, which I find to be confusing. Faster write speeds are better if you can afford them.
