Yes, but it's too slow as external storage for an Xbox. Plus, I think it would overheat and have a short-life. I would recommend the Seagate Xbox series external drives. They range between 140MB/sec to 540MB/sec. Also, they are much larger. In video game terms, 256GB is nothing. I would buy at least a 2TB drive depending on how many games you own.
