It should work. Usually, photos and video files are stored in industry standard jpeg and mpeg formats. I have transferred photos and videos from my Cannon camera to Windows PC with no issues. So long as you have a compatible memory slot in your home computer. If you just have a USB slot/port in your home computer, you can buy an adapter to interface to the USB slot.
