Hello Nicky, Great question. The R1 Stand has a wide viewing range thanks to its 270° mount and base hinges, so you can position the iPad close to upright for video calls. That said, the R1 uses an open cradle with silicone grips (it doesn’t lock the tablet in), so having the iPad perfectly 90° vertical isn’t ideal for stability—especially if you tap the screen. For best results, tilt the iPad slightly back a few degrees to lower the center of gravity.
