“My laptop has a USB-C port but not PD capable. Could I use a USB-C power adapter to power this device without drawing power from the laptop?”

Hello, Thank you for your interest in Satechi. We can confirm that If it's not PD enabled, you cannot use the port for charging. Also, all of our adaptors contain an active chipset which draws about 15W of power from either the host device or the charger connected.
