Yes...mine started smoking after a minute of use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has not overheated on me yet. I have not pushed it past it's recommendations though. I do use it every day and usually keep it under the 14 page limit and NOT feed it for hours and it has worked fine for me!

Please try again later.Simply let it rest a minute or two between multiple sheets, and it works fine. if you put too much paper in and it sounds like motor is struggling to pull it through, then of course it will overheat eventually. Just use common sense and pause/rest between batches. Card stock or thicker paper naturally make motor work harder. Ordinary paper is fine!
