• A bed stand then a box spring then this mattress will have you pretty far off the ground for a typical bed but it is awesome if you have the space and budget.

• Hello Apollo. Thank you for your question. This mattress is compatible with a platform foundation, solid surface bed frame, or adjustable foundation. If the mattress will be used without a foundation or box spring (ie: most likely with a platform bed), you will need to add a solid platform on top of any open slatted mattress support system that has spaces between the slats that are greater than 2 inches or 5 centimeters.
