We just got our tv plugged it in and it gets to the screen to choose a language and can’t move forward. I’ve tried resetting the tv and remote and still can’t move past the first page of set up null

Does the selection (language option) change when you try to move it up and down? If not, the batteries may be dead and the remote is not able to send a signal. Or, I hate to say, they may be in backwards. The highlighted choice should at least move up and down. If new batteries and installed correctly don't help, I would be in touch with BestBuy pronto.
