“I can’t locate the “slot” to put the feet or base into. When I do the screws aren’t long enough to tighten up base. Not off to a good start with this TV.”

With most of these new style of t.v.s it requires a certain amount of torque to get the screws to seat tight enough. Always use strong steady pressure to get the screws to hold.
