No doubt you have already tried the limited options for trouble shooting noted in the instructions that came with the TV. Most important is, does the red led in the lower right corner of the TV flash when you press any button on the remote? Instructions tell you that if it flashes when you press a button on the remote then the remote is fine and to unplug the TV and plug it back in.
I suggest checking the batteries in the remote. They are probably not dead, but possibly inserted incorrectly. Usually, batteries are placed in the remote facing opposite directions. With this remote, both AAA batteries face the same direction. The positive end of each battery should be pointing towards the top of the remote - or towards the end of the remote with the power button on it.
Sorry for such a simple answer, but it might be the issue. I've kicked myself more than once for struggling with some electronic device only to discover I had the batteries in the wrong way.
