Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but I'd recommend an outside mounted antenna if you run into problems. I pick up some HD local channels without an antenna, but it will vary by how close you live to their transmitters.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I normally run mine connected to cable without a cable box, and it works great (I do have cable service boxes on other sets). I don't get all the channels you would with a cable box but still many to pick from. Your results may be different for cable service other than Cox. Hooked up a window antenna and the TV also works great, even with weak signals (I'm on the other side of town from the transmitters). If it doesn't work for you, you need to improve your antenna, not the TV. You will likely need to be close to the transmitter and without too much in the way like walls for rabbit ears, but they may work great for you.
