• I have two roku boxes and one roku tv. I've never had to pay anything beyond the purchase price of the device. Services you might use (netflix, hulu, etc.) incurr their subscription costs, but that is all.

• Hello Steve, it does not cost to activate the Roku itself. Some of the applications available on the Roku will have subscription costs.

• Nope. You will need a Roku account to activate the TV but the account is free to sign up.

• You do have to enter a credit card to set up this TV and Roku. You cannot skip the process and just go to TV. Do NOT biy this TV.

• Yes you have to put $100 in your Roku account, they said it is a one time fee!!
