Hello, thanks for your question. If the unit changes to Bluetooth is not because it is defective or malfunctioning, this unit has NFC (Near Field Communication), this was added to the stereo to simplify the pairing method of the Bluetooth connectivity, if you do not want this to happen, please disable the Bluetooth on your smart devices and the NFC as well.
