“The Bluetooth function will not stay disconnected. I have disconnected the Bluetooth on the stereo, but it keeps reconnecting automatically. There aren’t any devices nearby for the NFC to be enabled. I also shut the Bluetooth off from every device.”

If your vehicle also has bluetooth, you must park it 32' from your house!
