Sorry, I haven't experimented with the timing device yet on my new Sharp Model SMC2242DS as I still have a workable, repaired, eleven-year-old Kenmore microwave, which I am still using most of the time. I bought the new Sharp microwave as I anticipate the old Kenmore will not last much longer, and the new microwave seems very close in design/instructions to the Kenmore machine, 2.2 cu. ft., 1200 Watts, which appears no longer to be sold.
