I use these daily in an automotive shop because they are open ear and I can remain aware of my surroundings and communicate with coworkers. With that said if you turn these up you can definitely drown out the surroundings with great sound quality

No. If the Shokz doesnt sit on your ear just right you CAN NOT hear much of anything.
