I believe this to be correct, but double check with Simple wireless to confirm:

YES, you purchase this $25 card, and can use it for 30 days on the "Simple" phone of your choice that is compatible. After the 30 days, if you don't renew it, then the plan dies. No contracts. Pretty cheap deal if you ask me. In fact, now they have iPhone SE's at $60 for right now(as of 11/11/19--I don't know how long it will last)>
