All devices these days have a setting on them to convert audio output to mono. It's normally found in the accessibility menu of your phone or device. It has to be done from the source your streaming from, not the headphones

You may be able to change the audio output in the tv/stereo/laptop to mono, but otherwise I don't know of any way to do this in the actual headphones.
