May be a defective item, contact skullcandy for a replacement with your receipt showing month and year of purchase.

Peel if the black part in the speaker then clean it and put it back on

Did you accidentally set the left earbud to solo mode? Also check if this happens when listening to multiple devices to make sure the problem isn't the source, e.g., sound level on your phone. If all else fails, call Skullcandy.

I use a Volume Booster (set usually at 35-40% and the volume on my devices don't have to be at full volume that way either) on my phone and tablet for music and it helps wiith Youtube. Although some of the ads seem like they're trying to pierce your eardrums because they come at you at full volume, louder than the videos themselves...the booster itself is simple to use and doesn't spit ads at you every time you adjust it, it's by a company called GOODEV...

Clean your ears? Jk.  Make sure the rubber piece is on properly. Un pair it from your phone and re sync. Is there an eq in your phone with left to right balance?
