• Yes there is a microphone embedded in the EarPods. The vocal quality is a little muffled but you do not have to use the phone microphone.

• Yes, you can take a phone call with these on either an Apple or Android device. Working from home for 7 months, I've paired them to my laptop, for Teams calls / meetings. They work really well.
