“I have an old dryer outlet for an old 3-prong plug with straight blades. The installer said that I need to have my dryer outlet changed. Do I upgrade to the newer 3-prong outlet with "L" shape blade or to a 4-prong outlet?”

I was told that too that mine didn’t work because it needed a new outlet but the second drive they brought work just fine so that was a problem with the cord or something with the previous one
