• If the water pipe is good then yes, you can connect a tee to your icemaker. Thats how i set mine up and it works great. BTW, if you think you shouldnt drink the water then i wouldnt hook it to my washer either. Why wash ... or drink ... with dirty water?? And i did install a simple inline water filter in the icemaker line ... & i used a tee with shutoffs (like an outdoor hose 3-way connector tee) so i could shut off each line independantly.
