We are replacing a plug in dishwasher with a Bosch 800 Series. We ordered the Dishwasher Install Kit Model 5304504505 SKU 5146600. It also comes with the Bosch DW Power Kit. Do we need to use both or does the plug in cord from the Install Kit go direct null

In this case the simple plug-in cord that comes with the install kit is all you need. You do not need the Bosch DW Power Kit (cord with attached surface mount junction box).

Generally: If there is an existing outlet within reach then you can use the simple plug-in cord. If there is no outlet but there is 14 gauge/15 Amp cable with ground (NM, "Romex", etc.) as for a previous hard-wired dishwasher, then use the Bosch DW Power Kit (cord with attached surface mount junction box). If there is neither an outlet nor electrical cable within reach, call an electrician and have an outlet installed before the dishwasher is delivered.
