Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same question, as I'm buying a portable dishwasher as well. I'm pretty sure this kit is automatically advertised to everyone buying a dishwasher even though it is specifically for cabinet installation. The whole point of a portable dishwasher is that cabinet installation is not happening, therefore this kit should be useless. I see no indication in any of the info for the portables for sale that you need to attach the hoses of cables, that should be built in. For the same reason, I plan to pay for delivery but not installation. I've only previously owned very old portables, but I don't think the concept has changed - for them to charge for "installation" of a portable is absurd. You may need a faucet adapter, but most machines come with those, and I imagine if your faucet happens to need an extra adapter because the threading is different, anyone coming to install it would run into the same issue. If you end up needing an additional adapter, you can likely just order that online yourself and screw it onto the faucet.
