These two types of waterline connections are different. The ice maker lines with compression fittings will not work for your dishwasher hookup. That is best handled with a stainless steel hose with generally, the correct sized female couplers on each end of that hose. One end will connect to your water supply near your kitchen sink and the other to the inbound water feed line to the dishwasher.
