“I am doing an online zoom session for about 40 minutes a day. I need some form of wifi that will allow me to connect quickly and stay connected even when my cellphone data is running slow in that area. Will this be the best option for me?”

DO NOT BUY FOR ZOOM! It can't even handle a single person Zoom call let alone a group! Please do not buy! They will give you 20gb of data for a month for €45 and then reduce it to fair usage (500mb speeds), Zoom requires 810mg speeds. Even having the device on will drain your data if you are not even connected to it from a device (I spent two days in Spain unable to connect to my device because the app is rubbish and I apparently used half my data when I literally was not connected to it!!). Now, here is the con. Once you use all your data in the first week, they will offer you a top-up service because the speeds are so painfully slow you will need it. You won't be able to hold an audio call on Zoom or Skype, you won't be able to load an internet page. So, they offer you the same 20gb of data at the whooping price of €70! Now, I know what you're thinking "€70?! I thought 20gb cost €45? Why the sudden increase?!". I have spent the last two weeks trying to figure this out with their appalling customer service and STILL do not have answers. However, my boss sure as heck wants me back in the UK facing either losing my job or my dreams. So a massive round of applause for the rubbish Skyroam. Don't be me, don't be a mug, get something better than Skyroam.

We are sorry to hear you are having such an experience with us, but we do state that our monthly plans fall within our fair use policy which states you do receive 20GB of high speed data and then reduced speeds that vary. While this may have not worked for you, it could have been a number of reasons. It depends on what you have connected to the Solis at the time as well as how often you were Zooming. Having the device on does not drain data unless you have devices connected.
