This would be perfect to take with you on the go for your laptop at a sporting event, especially if there's lots of people because you will get a WiFi network all to yourself. More people using the same WiFi network = the slower it will be. Depending on where you're located, you should have pretty good upload/download speeds to stream live events. It may eat through the data pretty quickly though if you're streaming, I'm not sure how that aspect works.
