You can charge the hotspot itself using that port and with appropriate/compatible cable and adapters use the internal hotspot battery to charge another device such as a phone. I’d recommend reading Android authority and other reviews before purchase to understand if it’s a good fit. The data speed is not consistent or suited for every situation. We purchased as an emergency backup for business and travel WiFi but not stream video. It does an okay job. Speed is nothing impressive. The favorite aspect of the solis skyroam is the Buying Blocks of data that don’t expire. That’s the main reason I purchased it was to avoid monthly charges for something used a bit less frequent.
