Don't know what "ideal" means in this example. It won't make you thinner, richer, or more beautiful. It WILL allow you to get internet access wherever you go.

You can definitely do that. Wifi plans are available per GB and you can very much use for your assignments.

It should work. I haven't used it while driving, but it certainly should be able to maintain connection.
