• The packaging on my Solo New York 17.3" laptop sleeve states it is TSA ready. I have not gone through TSA check with it as yet, but based on past experience with TSA this should be good-to-go.

• Yes to zippers - two of them and they can close on either left or right side or anywhere in-between. I don't know about TSA approval but it did pass through TSA Pre-Check scanner twice without any issues.
