• The speaker has dog legs and swing out and then squeeze and tighten up to the sheetrock for a flush fit then attach the grill. Done, Music up!

• Yes, you use the template to drill a hole, the speakers have a self mounting bracket that applies pressure to the drywall to keep them in, very clever design.
