You don’t need to buy anything extra. Everything you need is in the box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Linda. There is no mounting kit required. Cut a hole in the ceiling using the template supplied in the box. There are mounting brackets included on the speaker itself. Once speaker is located inside the hole, you will take a phillips head screwdriver to activate the brackets by turning the screw in a clockwise direction. They basically squeeze down on the sheet rock and that's it. You need 4 3/4" depth to install the speaker. Push any insulation you have to the sides making a pocket for the speaker. Good luck.
