“Sounds like these are just regular passive speakers. I stll need a Sonos amp to connect into my Sonos system. Can I connect my CD and Turntable into it as well? Are there any other advantages to these speakers if I can just use any speaker?”

Hi Danny, Yes, you would still need an Amp to power them. If you chose our Sonos Amp it does have a line-in input for additional devices. The advantage to using our Sonos Amp with the Sonos speakers is that they are the only passive speakers that can be tuned to your specific environment using a process called TruePlay in our app. Second, you can connect up to three pairs of Sonos by Sonance speakers to one Amp.
