Do NOT enclose this soundbar!!!

It fires from drivers to either side AND straight up for Atmos height sounds.

Putting it on a shelf will effectively kill the sound.

It will also be nearly impossible to run TruePlay correctly.

Yes. Place it about 1"-2" behind the grille cloth and swivel it slightly to make the soundfield  match any apparent disparity in the acoustics of the room.
