A:AnswerThe beam only works with a Sonos sub...you can use a Sonos amp to output to 3rd party sub and group it with the beam...expensive option but it does work
A:AnswerI am not 100% certain. I do not have mine connected to this type of device. However, I am reasonably confident that they will connect and interact with voice command device. I would refer to the manufacturers website to be sure.
A:AnswerHi Andrew, this unfortunately is not possible strictly with two play 5s. I looked long and hard for that same answer myself (also own two play 5s). What you would need is either a Playbar/Beam/Playbase that has HDMI Arc or optical connections in order to connect to your TV. I believe you could also use the new Sonos Port which has the white/red audit component connections, but I’d give Sonos a call to confirm on the port as I don’t own one of those. While it’s a bummer, on the plus side if you do end up getting a beam/playbase/Playbar and use your Play 5s as surround speakers, boy that does sound fantastic!
A:AnswerI checked the spec's on that TV and per Best Buy's website it says that it does have an optical output on the back, so any of our soundbar solutions should work for you.
A:AnswerIt does support Google assistant. As a matter of fact, I spend a good hour trying to get Alexa working properly without much luck. It would do some thing but not all... like for instance, I couldn't get Alexa to open Pandora... but I just toggle the switch to the app to Google and VOILA! Everything worked instantly, with no set up. I couldn't be happier! I have a Beam and a Sub, and two Sonos One's making a surround sound setup and the sound is really quite spectacular.
