Hi Tony, The Sonos One does work with Amazon Alexa. There are multiple music services that you can enable both on Sonos and on Alexa.

You can enable Amazon Alexa (or Google Assistant which I have not done) to give it the capabilities of an Echo. It also has Sonos Voice Command (the wake-up phrase is ‘Hey Sonos’) to play content or adjust volume. You can add music and content services. Sonos has a ‘Sonos Radio’ service that is pretty good. I have also enabled Amazon Music, iHeartRadio and SiriusXM on my Sonos system. I really like my Amazon Alexa devices and consider Sonos devices to be like Amazon Echos on steroids. It’s a great system.
