“I just bought a 5 and would like to add a few 1's gen 2 to other areas of the house, Can I pair these up and how's the sound quality of the 1 gen 2 compared to the 5? The 5 is awesome!”

The Five is better. Which makes senses. It’s bigger and costs $300.00 more. Fives can be paired with another Fives, and Ones with another One. The One is still amazing quality though, just make sure you set proper expectations if you are coming from the Five.

The One is designed to give you crystal clear sound in places where you don't have space to put a 5. It's great for background music and casual listening. It has 2 speakers compared to the Five's 6 speakers so you'll notice a loudness difference. However, you'll be impressed by how clear, and loud the One is for it's size. It also had really impressive bass for the size that it is too. We think you'll like it a lot. But we're a little biased.
