Hi, I used a pair of Sonos 1's in a covered outdoor kitchen year-round; estimate they were out there for about 4+ years, never had a problem with moisture. One was about 5' above our grill / smoker, so also exposed to those elements. Pretty robust speaker. I would expect these never were exposed to direct moisture, I.e. rain or snow, but the humidity of St. Louis, no problems.

It is not designed to withstand the full force of the weather which is why outdoor environments with direct exposure to the elements is not recommend.

Why take a chance. Just put more $ out there and get what you need so there are no issues.There products are all high QUALITY you won't be sorry.
